In memory of May
Our beautiful baby daughter May Rose was cared for and died at the TREVOR MANN BABY UNIT in Brighton.
May was was a full term baby and a scan on the morning before she was born, showed all was well.
However due to a severe placenta abrubtion i went into labour and May suffered a lack of oxygen. She was sent immediatly to special baby care and then transferred to Trevor Mann in Brighton.
The various tests that were carried out in intensive care told us that May had severe brain damage. She had a series of convulsions and we were informed that she would never be able to walk, and possibly not be able to talk. This was a terrible shock to us but we knew we just had to face it as extra challenges we would have with May and share together.
But suddenly and without warning May developed pneumonia and other complications and she left us at 6pm on Sunday 19 November 2006.
There is obviously a lot more to Mays story, but we set up the 'May Rose Fund'
because all the staff were so caring and supportive to both May and ourselfs that we wanted to give something back to them. So 'In memory of May' we are trying to raise money to donate to the unit.
If you have any ideas on fundraising events or would like to comment in any way, or would just like to get in touch with us, we would love to hear from you.
